Entry Requirements: The minimal academic record necessary for a bachelor's varies from 60-80 per cent and higher in Standard XII, depending on the institution (university, institute of technology, or college). Students with a 50 per cent or higher can enrol for foundation and diploma programmes.
Bachelor's degree entry requirements in Ireland vary depending on the field you wish to study. Bachelor in Ireland standards need a student to have completed a minimum of 12 years of schooling in India to be admitted to an undergraduate programme in Ireland. In the 12th board examinations, students must score at least 60%. The entry requirements for Bachelor's degrees in Ireland are subject to change.
2. English Requirements: All applicants must exhibit a high English language proficiency. If English is not your first language, you must pass a recognised English language test with a minimum score. In Ireland, the IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE are all acceptable. The results of all proficiency examinations must have been delivered within two years of the start of your programme.
Students interested in studying medicine in Ireland must also take the HPAT assessment test. Those who achieve a minimum score of 480 points (which varies from year to year) and meet the medical school's prerequisites are eligible to apply. The overall score will be converted into grade points after being added to the school Leaving Certificate.
Non-EU applicants should contact the college's International Office to which they desire to apply and gather information before applying. Some universities may require a higher grade or additional skills. Before applying, it is generally a good idea to contact the university.
3. IELTS Requirements: One of the prerequisites for non-EU students is the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). An eligibility score of 6.5 is accepted by universities and institutes of technology, while colleges accept a score of 6.0.
4. TOEFL Requirements: Universities and institutes of technology demand a TOEFL score of 90, whereas colleges require 79.
5. PTE Requirements: Universities also consider PTE when the score is 62 or 63, and colleges consider a score of 59 as the minimum English language requirement for a bachelor in Ireland.
