You have been burning the midnight oil to achieve that perfect score. You have confidence in your preparation as well as your acumen. However, all of us are susceptible to exam anxiety and mistakes that could have been easily avoided. The Team of Hello Study Global is at your rescue with some important pointers that will help you in managing the stress and anxiety of the exam and getting the perfect score you deserve !
Attempting the scoring portion first - After analyzing your mock test results, it should be clear which section was the easiest and the pattern of increasing difficulty in the other sections. So on the d-day make sure you attempt the scoring portion first. This will not only save time but also raise your morale. For a complete and thorough analysis of your results, you are welcome to contact and book a session with us.
Managing the allotted time - Attempting 80 analytical and reasoning questions in 3 hours and 7 minutes is easier said than done. Assign more time to the portions you find tricky. Do not waste your time overthinking about one answer. It is vital that you go through each question at least once.
Rechecking answers - If you successfully manage your time by following the previous tips, then make sure you recheck the answers you were unsure about. Take a moment to breathe and then look at the problem again. You might find a new way of looking at the question which will help you reach the correct answer.
Reading the question carefully - The questions are supposed to be out of the box. They can be conversations, situations, survey data etc. Hence read the question twice or thrice as necessary before solving. Do not let fear or panic dictate your understanding of the problem.
When facing a difficult question - After a streak of easy questions, you may find before yourself a boulder of high difficulty. Stay calm and think about the answer. In case you are still not able to figure it out, move on! Remember your priority is managing your time and performing to the best of your abilities. Revisit it while rechecking.
Meditation or anxiety relieving activities the night before - You have been studying for months and the d-day is finally after dawn! Take care of yourself the night before. Meditation is proven to improve concentration and performance during exams. Learn to have faith in your hard work. Listening to songs, mandala art and a warm relaxing bath are some of the anxiety relieving activities you can try.
Optimistic attitude - Last but not the least, face this challenge with a positive outlook. Encourage yourself with affirmations and admiration. Whatever the result may be, you have done more than enough. Having an optimistic mindset greatly increases the probability of succeeding.
